CLARIN Concept Registry (CCR)
Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure (CLARIN) is a digital infrastructure offering data, tools, and services to support research based on language resources.
It hosts the CLARIN Concept Registry (CCR), an instance of OpenSKOS which implements the W3C SKOS (Simple Knowledge Organization System) recommendation and data model. Currently, it is filled with many concepts from, for example, the Expert Advisory Group on Language Engineering Standards (EAGLES) project, various metadata initiatives, and hopefully other sub-disciplines and initiatives.
The CCR forms the basis of the semantic interoperability layer of CLARIN, especially in the context of metadata, i.e., the Component MetaData Infrastructure (CMDI). It does so by offering a collection of concepts, identifiable by their persistent identifiers, relevant for the domain of language resources.
