Lightweight Information Describing Objects (LIDO) is a format for contributing collection objects information for resource discovery.

The LIDO2RDF Working Group brings together relevant stakeholders involved in mapping the XML schema of LIDO to RDF, including NFDI4Objects, NFDI4Culture, the LMU Munich, DigiCult association, and the French Ministry of Culture. It takes into account preliminary work that has already been carried out in this field. The objective of the group is to develop mappings from LIDO XML to CIDOC CRM triples (CIDOC Conceptual Reference Model, CIDOC = Comité international pour la documentation, engl. International Committee on Documentation; subject–predicate–object) in order to translate statements for use in knowledge graphs and other semantic web applications. The work focuses on LIDO 1.0 and LIDO 1.1 and is based on CIDOC CRM version 7.1.3 (ISO 21127:2023).
