Working Group Data Spaces & Interoperability for Joint Research

This working group develops concepts that meet high standards with regard to security, protection of intellectual property, and legal compliance. The goal is a secure and trustworthy data exchange between science and industry.

Key areas of work include:

  • Designing data spaces that enable controlled sharing between academic and industrial partners
  • Ensuring interoperability between NFDI infrastructure and industrial data systems
  • Addressing IP protection, data sovereignty, and regulatory compliance in joint research settings
  • Supporting NFDI consortia in setting up technically and legally sound frameworks for data sharing with industry
