📄️ Introduction
Industry continuously collects data and works with methods and standards that are of great interest to several scientific disciplines within the NFDI. Conversely, science also possesses data and methodological competencies that are significant for industry.
📄️ WG Benefits, Costs, and Risks in Research Cooperations
This working group acts as a bridge for the sustainable networking of science and industry. It develops approaches to promote collaboration between the two sides, with a focus on data use and data sharing.
📄️ WG Cooperation Models and Agreements
This working group analyses forms of cooperation between industry and academic research specifically within the NFDI, and develops a collection of industry-specific model contracts for research cooperations — taking into account important aspects such as data reuse.
📄️ WG Data Spaces & Interoperability
This working group develops concepts that meet high standards with regard to security, protection of intellectual property, and legal compliance. The goal is a secure and trustworthy data exchange between science and industry.
📄️ WG Knowledge Transfer and Impact
This working group collaborates with companies to translate research into concrete measures. It jointly develops solutions for industrial practice with partners, implements them, and measures their success.
📄️ Industrial Advisory Board
The Industrial Advisory Board ensures that the perspectives and interests of industry are substantively incorporated into the NFDI section's work. It brings together a broad spectrum of companies — including DAX corporations, SMEs, and startups — from various industrial sectors. The board is set up as heterogeneously as possible with respect to company size, sector affiliation, and industrial focus, to ensure a wide range of perspectives.
